Teddy Ruxpin
The bear that started it all. The original Worlds of Wonder Teddy Ruxpin was released in 1985
and is the world's first animatronic toy. He runs on four "C" batteries and uses specially
recorded cassette tapes that use one track for audio and one track for animation.
Many accessories were created for Teddy including
Grubby,
Picture Show and
Answer Box. Many outfits were also created such as a Flying Outfit, Hiking Outfit and two sets
of pajamas.
