Teddy Ruxpin
This is the first reincarnation of Teddy Ruxpin released by Playskool in 1992. This version
is considerabley smaller than the original Worlds of Wonder version, uses small tape cartidges
that are basically tiny 8 track tapes and is powered by four "AA" batteries. The books were
changed to cheap paperback.
The animatronics are better made on this version. The eyes and mouth can be manually
opened and closed without risking damage to servos like on the original. However, there
is no power/volume dial. Instead, there just a single button to turn it on. To turn it off,
you just pull the tape cartridge out.
